They teach you positions. They teach you to push, to pull, and to accelerate. Typical golf instructors try (in vain in most cases) to teach you to swing like Tiger, like Phil, like Big John.
Now don't get me wrong. Tiger Woods is an outstanding player and I enjoy watching him play. His golf swing is like poetry in motion but for me to pattern my game after arguably the greatest player on the planet is just not practical. I�m not a world-class athlete nor do I have 8 - 10 hours a day to devote to the game and I certainly don�t have thousands of dollars to pay a high profile instructor to follow me around and critique me."
