Olney Daily Mail - Sports: "The Olney Tigers boys golf team advanced to the IHSA Class A Sectional with a third-place finish at the Mt. Carmel Regional on October 3.
The Tigers will travel to Carlyle on Tuesday to compete at the very challenging Governors Run Golf Course.
The host Golden Aces won their own regional with a low round of 336. Olney shot a 348.
Seniors Ryan Jenner and Devin Hundley paced the Tigers after firing off team-low rounds of 85.
Junior Austin Taylor shot an 88, followed by senior Jordan Kocher with a 90. Senior Jared St. Pierre carded a round of 93. Freshman Dylan Walden shot a 97.
Other individuals that advanced to sectional play out of the Mt. Carmel Regional included: Kyle Warren of Red Hill, 77; Alex White of Newton, 79; Eric Walker of Fairfield, 85; Blayze Miller of Lawrenceville, 85; Alex Dreith of Fairfield, 86; Zach Wasion of Flora 86; Zach Manley of Lawrenceville, 86; Tyler Mitchell of Oblong, 86; Logan Brimberry of Robinson, 86; Travis Whithaus of Robinson, 86; and Mitchell Budds of Wayne City, 86."
