Jacksonville.com: Sports: Golf: Story: ON GOLF: Media wrong with its takes on Masters 04/15/07: "One, that Zach Johnson was an unknown player who came from nowhere.

Two, that he won only because Tiger Woods handed the tournament to him.

Sports Illustrated symbolized the braying, with a cover photo of Woods (snapping his 4-iron trying to hit out of the trees at No. 11) and a small inset photo of Johnson.

If you turned to the back of the issue, you found Rick Reilly moaning that Tiger Woods was all but finished.

Inside the Golf Plus edition, there was a call for Woods to go back to former teacher Butch Harmon, despite the fact that Tiger won two majors last year and was player of the year with Hank Haney.

SI wasn't alone. A few minutes searching the Internet revealed many opinion columns along the same lines. Never mind that most were done by guys who see a couple of tournaments per year, or rarely leave the media center at a golf venue, or write from Sony Stadium (the comforts of their living room or office)."
