Mt. Pleasant, S.C. - The first round of the Southern Conference Women's Golf Championship has been postponed due to storm-like conditions at Patriots Point Golf Links on Sunday morning. Although as of mid-morning it had not rained at the golf course, gale force winds and the threat of inclement weather have prompted officials to delay the start.
The first round was set to open with tee times beginning at 7:30 am. The current plan is for play to begin at 2:00 pm on Sunday. Official tee times will be available at a later time.
The second round will continue as planned for a 7:30 a.m. start time on Monday, April 16 with the final round of play also set to begin at 7:30 am on Tuesday, April 17.
Western Carolina, which is one of just three teams to have captured the tournament title in SoCon Women's Golf Championship history, boasts all five players among the top 16 golfers in scoring average this season en"
